Our core knowledge is rooted in the design and development of in-vivo Degradable Starch Microspheres (DSM).
In close liaison with our customers, we have tailored DSM products for e.g., surgical hemostasis (Arista®) and interventional embolisation (Spherex®). Another sub-type of DSM developed by Magle, is used world wide to measure amylase activity and as a forensic device.
Starch microspheres are non-toxic, non-allergenic and metabolised to glucose. Together with great formulation flexibility and long stability, DSM is an ideal material for in-vivo applications.
